A Kentucky motor vehicle bill of sale confirms the legal purchase and sale transaction between a private buyer and seller of a vehicle. Most new owners will be required to show proof of purchase upon transferring the vehicle’s title and seeking to register the vehicle under their name. Therefore, a bill of sale alleviates the titling and registering process for the buyer and officially relinquishes the seller’s legal ownership.
